What Is An Actual Treatment Like?
During a visit the patient will sit at a desk, in front of a desk top computer while holding a hand mass in their hand that is connected to the IQS. With the other hand, a stylus pointer that is also connected to the IQS is used to apply pressure to an acupuncture point located in the palm. Different items to be tested will be highlighted on the computer and the energetic signal of that item is sent through the hand mass, while the body’s response to that item is measured through the acupuncture point.
Once the sensitivity evaluation is completed on the computer, the actual treatment takes place by doing acupressure up and down the patients’ spine to help remove any energy blockages caused by the sensitivity. The patient will do different breathing exercises while the acupressure is preformed. Once the acupressure is complete, the patient sits quietly, continuing to hold the hand mass for 2 minutes. After the 2 minutes, the treatment is complete.
Treatments for infants, toddlers, and young children are done through a surrogate tester, like a parent. The child sits on the parents’ lap, or next to them and can play with a toy or watch a DVD while the parent has skin contact with them while being tested.

What Is The Sequence Of Treatment?
The sequence of treatment begins with the evaluation of 22 foundational items that a person is exposed to every day:
Amino Acids, Protein Metabolism, Phenolics, Minerals,
Vitamin C, Vitamin B, Sugar Metabolism, Sugars, Fat Metabolism, Vitamin D, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, Bacteria, Virus, Parasites, Molds / Fungus / Yeast, Hormones, Heavy Metals, Acid, Base and Radiation / Geopathic Stress.
These items are crucial to the everyday function and health of the body. These items are the most common denominators of the majority of people’s sensitivities. Most patients get through this level in 2-5 treatments.
The next step is to then treat for any remaining food sensitivities that did not clear up during the treatment of the appropriate 22 items.
Once all food sensitivities are treated the next step is based on individual needs such as animals, pollens, chemicals, fabrics, perfumes, etc.
The final step of treatment is to use certain filters to make sure there are no residual sensitivities left undetected. Most patients get through this step in 2 – 5 treatments.
It is important to Elissa that each patient begin to feel better after the first or second treatment. This course of progress should continue through the course of treatment so the patient is feeling better and better with the passage of time. Overall, the entire course of treatment, on average, is about 10-15 treatments.

What Happens During The First Visit?
The first visit will last 1½ hours for adults and 1 hour for infants and children under the age of 14.
We begin by discussing your medical history, chief complaint(s) and any symptoms you may be having. We also address any questions or concerns you might have.
We then begin a series of evaluations:
- Systemic Enzyme Evaluation – to determine if there are any areas of your body that are needing extra support.
- Digestive Stress Evaluation – to determine which aspects of food you may be having a hard time breaking down (fat, sugar /starches, fiber, protein) and to determine which digestive enzyme best meets your needs.
- Toxicity Evaluation – to determine if your body is holding on to any toxins and which detoxification remedy (if any) best meets your needs.
- Energetic Physical Exam – to determine where in your body you may be experiencing any energetic blockages.
- Evaluation of the 22 items outline in the BioSET section, in sequence of treatments.
- Evaluation of all foods that you eat – checking for intolerances and sensitivities.
We then perform your first BioSET treatment based on all the evaluations that were completed. After your treatment is complete we follow up with any questions or concerns you may have and discuss the recommended enzymes and remedies.
